Are We Still A Free Country

Sometimes I wonder whether we are an independent nation or not. I think using the word independent country would be more appropriate, as the word nation cannot be used for a country like India , which is a nation 'still' in the making. Although the Britishers decolonized our country long back in 1947, our country is still pseudo-colonized in the era of neocolonialism . Our markets are still flooded with cheap made in china products, with a heavy trade deficit on our side. Chinese products are running through the veins and arteries and Indian economy. This has hit badly our fellow Indian competitors. The middlemen and importers find it profitable to trade in with Chinese goods than labour intensive Indian products. Sixty five years of independence and the so called successful era of liberalization , globalization and privatization , we have not become enough competitive to deal with our ever innovating Chinese counterparts who are targeting Indian market with products ranging from crackers to telecom instruments. Its surprising that the Indian government , even after launching a number of schemes for the infrastructural development of native industries, we have not made enough leap forward. Its high time we take stock of this grim situation and mould our policies which may help put back Indian products into our economy. The only panacea for this is a conducive environment for industrial growth where the role of our political and business leaders is of prime importance. The road ahead is no doubt, bumpy and full of hurdles but its always good to be late than never.

Random thought....

The mental whirlpool is back. With a bang...........yeah.......gusty winds.....thundering and swirling clouds....hailstorm....lots of rain.....clear your mind...sit alone...relax....close your eyes..take a deep breath....exhale all your worries....feel the rain drops on your parched lips....feel the wind rushing through your hair....feel the thunder sending a chill down your spine....feel the splashing of mud by the hail....come out of your enclosure...come out of the physical world....just forget everything....feel the inner self...feel the truth..that the next moment may be your last moment....but don't forget that this moment is yours...its upto you to decide whether you want to find faults with this moment or you want to enjoy it throwing away all your worries down the gutter.Life is short. Very short. It would not be just to waste it thinking about what has happened. Its equally waste to plan so much for future that you loose control over present. Give love and respect to all that come across in your life each day. Thank God for giving what you have. Live life as if the moment spent is not going to come back. Feel the presence of God in little things.,,,,,,,,,,
